Supporting LGBTQ+ Resources
The Office of the Fresno County Superintendent of Schools is dedicated to supporting school districts, parents and community-based agencies in topics related to LGBTQ+ by providing training, staff development and consultation. We are committed to assisting others to develop an understanding of the challenges and risks facing LGBTQ+ students, as well as discover the protective factors in place to create a safe school environment. Our goal is for our partners to gain increased familiarity with terminology used by the LGBTQ+ communities and an increased awareness of gender identity and gender expression.
