The Student Equity and Empowerment Department promotes student voice and engagement by providing experiences, opportunities and resources that support cultural and social emotional growth.
We believe that exposing students to the best and truth of their history and culture and engaging the "myth of absence" principle (Bernard Kinsey). Students can learn, develop and prosper into productive community stakeholders by way of college and career choices and leadership roles. Our youth leaders are building community spaces and engaging Leadership that encourage inclusive and diverse thoughts that respect the equitable needs of all students in Fresno County.
